Our tour philosophy is to share our photographic vision, focus on the photogenic, following the light. We're informative, providing a personal insight into Iceland's extraordinary nature and culture and of course to have a great adventure.

With more than a decade of experience, we've honed our skills in maneuvering jeeps and flying over Iceland through areas including remote and rugged terrain. Our modified trucks are all at your disposal, making phototours.is the right choice for photographers who wish to travel to exotic locations. Our spacious modified trucks will get us safely over streams and rivers and unpaved roads to places where few venture. Our tours are aimed at small groups to ensure quality. We specialize in private tours, and those you find on our webpage can be modified to fit your needs. During summer and autumn on our highland tours, we go deeper into Iceland's marvelous nature, using the light to our best advantage, while exploiting the most favorable weather conditions. We rate our tours into Iceland's rugged highlands as easy to moderate. Most of all, we have fun, get great photographs and make the most every extraordinary moment.

The tours are set up with all accommodation and meals included. We take lunch packs into the field and even dinner in the same fashion, as needed. We also cater to any dietary requirements. All hotel rooms have private bathrooms. At times we depart very early to reach the more popular locations before the usual influx of tourists and, of course, to capture the good light. Due to the increase in tourism in Iceland over the past few years, we limit our visits to the well-known, often overcrowded sites, focusing more on less known, though equally (and sometimes more) stunning locations.

We welcome photographers of all skill levels. Our photography tours are aimed at maximizing the time spent in the field. We stay out long when the light and weather entreat us and try to find time to rest until bad weather passes. In the field, we are poised to advise on perspective and on long time exposures for the Northern Lights and waterfalls, for example. At appropriate times along the way, we explain about Iceland‘s history and geography.

Pick up and drop you off is at any hotel in the Reykjavik area.
